The Network’s purpose is to preserve and expand the supply of housing affordable to low-income people in Santa Clara County through a program of education, empowerment, coordination and support. The Network also seeks to empower low-income people to advocate effectively for their housing needs and supports public and private efforts, especially those of nonprofit developers, to meet those needs.

CSH offers general information and referrals about supportive housing; provides grants, loans and technical assistance to nonprofit developers; facilitates national innovation exchange; works with every level of government to provide more and better supportive housing.

Housing California hosts a conference each Spring in Sacramento, California drawing over 1,000 professionals from the affordable housing industry in California. The conference features one day of intensive training institutes and two days of workshops on issues affecting the development of affordable housing, including supportive housing, with all aspects of development, project financing, legislative updates and other emerging issues and trends.

LISC is a national, non-profit intermediary that provides technical and financial assistance to locally based nonprofit community development corporations to assist in revitalizing low-income communities. The San Francisco Bay Area Office of LISC has been selected by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide technical assistance to Certified Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDO's) operating in the greater Bay Area until 2001.
